Aeroseum

Aeroseum

Göteborg

Aeroseum is the only museum of its type in the world. A former top secret underground bunker installation now houses a centre where you can experience the excitement of flight and space travel. Aeroseum has taken over the underground hangars built during the Cold War for F9 Air Wing in Säve. The 22 000 sqm installation was designed to protect Air Force fighter aircraft against nuclear attacks, but today the underground hangars contain a museum, an experience centre and a conference facility.
The hangars are fully equipped and can even act as an air operations centre.  Aeroseum, which is still under construction, will eventually house an activity centre where visitors will be able to experience the special atmosphere and feel of flying. Visitors will be able to watch the renovation of historic aircraft and see models being built. Meetings, events and group activities can also be arranged in this unique environment. The airfield alongside the mountain hangars acts as Göteborg City Airport.
Aeroseum is open to the general public for guided tours, which will give you the opportunity to see old Swedish fighter aircrafts such as Draken, Lansen and Viggen, and also civilian aircrafts. You will be able to try out the cockpit of both a fighter and a helicopter.

Aeroseum is open
Now you can as a visitor walk around in the big mountain hangar and see all the exciting aircrafts, helicopters and other things. You can also test the flight simulators and visit our underground cafe and shop.
