    HärnösandDuring Second World War the goverment decided that the coastal defences of Norrland should be reinforced. The Hemsö Fortress was one component of this reinforcement, located in the Storrå Mountain (140 metres) on Hemsö, north of Härnösand, the fortress was ready for use in 1957.
